JUSTCONNECT
RESOURCE HUB | COMMUNITY CENTER | CO-WORKING SPACE
THE CHALLENGE
In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, we experienced firsthand the challenges, delays, and red tape that prevented communities from receiving timely support. It was frustrating to see people in urgent need being left behind while processes stalled. That frustration fueled our commitment to take matters into our own hands to ensure our communities get the assistance they deserve.
OUR SOLUTION
We’re launching JustConnect, a community-first recovery hub built to bypass barriers and get real support directly to those who need it. JustConnect will offer immediate relief, including food, water, Wi-Fi, electricity, business and wellness support. As recovery continues, it will expand into a long-term space for business assistance, workforce development, and co-working opportunities, giving residents and entrepreneurs the tools they need not just to rebuild, but to thrive.

The most effective way to support us is through a monetary donation. This will help us pay for supplies, equipment, admin fees, etc. No amount is too small!
By choosing our accounting services, you're giving opportunities to highly skilled Jamaican professionals hired through our workforce development program!

Women Entrepreneurship Program
Community feedback following our hurricane relief efforts made it clear that consistent connectivity, business support, and safe spaces for women to rebuild and grow were top of mind for those affected.
That's why phase 2 of Just Connect will focus on empowering women entrepreneurs.
Informed by community needs and our own expertise in finance, we're providing:
Microgrants and microloans
Quarterly business development workshops
Mentorship and coaching
Financial literacy resources
Networking and peer support opportunities.
Why invest in women? Research from UN Women and the Harvard Kennedy School shows that women reinvest up to 90% of their income back into their families and communities, compared to 30–40% for men. This reinvestment strengthens education, healthcare, nutrition, and long-term community stability.
With this phase, our goal is to increase the number and long-term success of women-owned businesses in Jamaica to support hurricane recovery through sustainable economic development and to build a resilient, community-centered recovery model.
